County Promotes Alexander

Sarasota County's Solid Waste Division has promoted Larry Alexander to serve as the division's manager. Alexander has nearly 28 years of experience in waste management services and has been serving Sarasota County since 2004 as solid waste manager. The Syracuse, N.Y., native has lived in Florida since 1995, and has extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. Since working for Sarasota County, Alexander has been responsible for overseeing a $24 million operating budget, managing all solid waste collections programs, and serving 153,000 residential and commercial customers.
