The Child Protection Center appointed Karen Valentino as a member of its Board of Directors. Karen is originally from Long Island, New York and currently resides with her husband, Michael, a majority of the year in Sarasota and spending the remaining months in New Jersey. Her volunteer background includes Head Start, as well as pet therapy in hospitals, nursing homes and assisted-living facilities and local daytime respite care for senior citizens. She actively serves on CPC’s event committees, and the Valentinos are supporters and advocates of CPC’s five core programs in the prevention, intervention and treatment of child abuse.
