Venice Regional Hires Interim CEO, CNO

Business

Venice Regional Bayfront Health recruited two hospital executives to serve to provide administrative leadership as the search for a permanent chief executive officer proceeds. Jeff Reece joined the hospital as interim chief executive officer and Peggy Greene is returning as interim chief nursing officer. Reece most recently served as interim CEO at North Okaloosa Medical Center in Crestview. Over the past 10 years, he served in various executive roles at hospitals in South Carolina after beginning his career as a paramedic and registered nurse. Greene is a 30-year clinical administration veteran who served Venice Regional as interim CNO in fall 2014. She has served as CNO at hospitals and hospice facilities in Florida and Maryland in addition to teaching nursing at College of Notre Dame of Maryland and Florida Gulf Coast University. The moves come after the sudden resignation of CEO Peter Wozniak and as the hospital responds to a critical report that said the hospital must bring procedures and facilities in compliance following a May sewage leak.
