Toshiko Mori Lecture and Reception

SRQ Story Project

The October Celebration of Architecture and Design continues at Center for Architecture, as we present programs to educate and inspire our community about the significant value that good design brings to our lives. This weekend internationally-known architect and Harvard Graduate School of Design Professor Toshiko Mori joins us for a Reception and Lecture on Friday, October 16, 5 to 7:30 pm at the Center. On Saturday from 11am to 2 pm, she will guide a tour through the Burkhardt/Cohen house on Casey Key that she was asked to enhance with two additional buildings. Ms. Mori’s exhibit, Dialogue in Details, officially opened on October 1 will be on view in the Gallery through December 15. This unique exhibit, originally designed by invitation for the international arts exhibition Venice Biennale, highlights architectural elements of her work that she was asked to design alongside the work of Paul Rudolph, Frank Lloyd Wright, Philip Johnson, and Mies van der Rohe. To attend the lecture and/or the tour, registration is required as space is limited. For more information and to register, please see CFASRQ.ORGThe exhibit is free of charge and open to the public Tues, Thurs, Fri: Noon to 5pm, Wed: Noon to 8pm and Sat:  10am to 2 pm. The Center is located in the McCulloch Pavilion at 265 S. Orange Ave.
