The Patterson Foundation is providing a match to boost the fundraising efforts of six regional nonprofits seeking investments for startup budgets for earned-income plans they have developed during the Margin and Mission Ignition initiative. From now through the end of 2015, The Patterson Foundation will match dollar for dollar all investments contributed toward each organization's plan—up to 50 percent of the projected startup budget. The initiative is designed to embed entrepreneurial capacity in nonprofits to increase their mission impact. The Patterson Foundation will have invested nearly $500,000 once the match is disbursed. Participating organizations include: Charlotte County Habitat for Humanity; Friends of Sarasota County Parks; Legal Aid of Manasota; Lighthouse of Manasota; Pines of Sarasota; and The Friendship Centers.
