Best of SRQ Local Polls are Open

Inside The Brand

You know the drill! Every year we eagerly open the polls of our yearly readers choice competition, Best of SRQ Local! And every year, we wait patiently as you cast your digital ballot in favor of categories like the best community accomplishment, best local farm, best pediatrician and biggest community blunder of the year. The results of this comprehensive competition are published in the annual Best of SRQ Local edition of SRQ | The Magazine (on newsstands in April 2016).

As you go about your day and live local, remember that we're counting on you - the readers of SRQ Daily and SRQ | The Magazine, to show up and cast your vote for the categories that matter the most to you. If you're a devotee of particular sushi restaurant, we have a category for that. If you've just had your house spruced up, we want to know the name of the contractor that made your dreams come true. If you're reading this early morning edition of SRQ Daily bleary-eyed and dreaming of the best cup of coffee in town, let the rest of community know where to find it by voting for your favorite cup of joe. The polls are open through February 15th 2016, so feel free to have your coffee first!

Last year, readers awarded Mote Marine Laboratory as the “Best Children’s Attraction” on the Gulf Coast. Reader Carolyn Angiolillo told us why she chose to support the aquarium and research facility, “I was impressed by their volunteers, who are very knowledgeable about exhibits, the boat ride around Sarasota and Roberts Bay and the efforts they take to conserve wildlife in their own backyard. I have brought my children to Mote and they just love the touch tank and watching the dolphins and manatees. They get a kick out of the manatees because they cannot imagine how big they are and how the dolphins smile at them.” If you agree with Carolyn, be sure to vote for Mote Marine Laboratory! If you think another local attraction deserves the title this year, cast your ballot in favor of your favorite local spot.
