Realtors expect that once final numbers for the year are reported, 2015 will have seen a record number of sales in the Sarasota-Manatee market. There were already 19,020 sales reported as of the end of November, a few hundred sales short of showing the highest number of sales in the 100 years the Realtor association has kept records. A closer look at the numbers also shows prices are higher than they have been in years. This graph, released by the Realtors Association of Sarasota-Manatee, shows that in Sarasota County, the median sales price in November was $228,750, 18.5 percent higher than the same month in 2014. The statistics also show that since March, every month of 2015 has seen a median sales price for homes higher than any month in the prior four years.
