Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium appointed Erin Knievel as its new chief development officer. Knievel initially joined Mote as annual and major gifts officer in October 2013 and in August 2015 transitioned to the role of campaign director. Since that promotion, she helped Mote raise $12.5 million toward its $50-million Oceans of Opportunity Campaign, including $3.5 million for the new research and education facility in the Keys. As Mote’s CDO, Knievel will work closely with Mote President and CEO Michael P. Crosby to achieve the $50 million goal and successfully close the Campaign in early 2016.
