Nonagricultural employment included about 283,400 jobs within the North Port-Sarasota-Bradenton metropolitan statistical area, according to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity. That marked a 1,300-job increase from November and a 4,400-job increase from December 2014. Service jobs remain king in the region
