A higher percentage of Florida businesses are in need of financing for planned growth than in any state of the union besides North Carolina, according to a new study released in March by Dunn & Bradstreet and Pepperdine University. But while the study found more businesses here are optimistic for growth than in other states, 71 percent of Florida small businesses feel the current business environment is restricting growth opportunities, compared to 58 percent of the national average.
