Whole Foods Market held a wine dinner last Thursday to benefit the Whole Planet Foundation, which works to alleviate poverty worldwide. The four-course dinner highlighted the talents of the in-house prepared foods team as well as the wine and cheese departments. Many guests were delighted to discover charming new wines such as the Sylbar Sparkling Rose showcased during the meet and greet and the Crossbarn Chardonnay, which was paired with the 1st Course of Zucchini Salad with Heirloom Cherry Tomatoes and Toast Points. The food was excellent, the wine chosen with care, and the cause worth supporting. For only $40 this was one of the best wine dinners I’ve attended in recent memory and it’s a credit to our local Whole Foods team.
