The Child Protection Center, Inc. was recently awarded $3,540 courtesy of the Heron Creek Community Foundation. The grant will fund therapy programs for children residing in North Port who receive therapy services at the Child Protection Center's North Port office. Established in 1980, the Child Protection Center works to prevent child abuse, provide intervention and treat victims of child abuse in Sarasota and surrounding areas.
