Jeramy Burkinshaw, a shopping center operations professional and five-year Taubman executive, has joined the Mall at University Town Center as general manager. In this role, Burkinshaw is responsible for operations, retailer and community relations and marketing for the shopping center. Burkinshaw brings more than 14 years of operational and managerial experience to his new position. Most recently, he served as the operations director of City Creek Center in Salt Lake City, UT, one of Taubman’s premier shopping and dining destinations. He also served on the grand opening team for four Taubman shopping centers: International Market Place in Waikiki, Hawaii, The Mall of San Juan in San Juan, Puerto Rico, University Town Center in Sarasota, FL and City Creek Center. He succeeds Octavio Ortiz, the general manager when the malled opened in 2014, who left in November.
