Applications are now open for the Community Foundation of Sarasota County’s scholarship program for traditional students. One of the largest programs of its kind in the state of Florida, the Community Foundation will award more than $1.8 million to both traditional and adult students throughout the year to help them achieve their educational dreams. Last year 575 scholarships were awarded to deserving candidates from Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, and DeSoto counties. With more than 85 scholarship funds available, the Community Foundation’s scholarship program fulfills a wide arrange of academic aspirations and are awarded based on merit, need or both.
