American Society of Aging Reappoints Overstreet

Robert G. Stein, the president and CEO of the American Society on Aging, has reappointed Janna Overstreet for a two-year term on its Lifetime Education and Renewal Network Council (LEARN). Overstreet is the executive director of Ringling College Lifelong Learning Academy, an area-based nonprofit organization that offers educational opportunities for area residents and visitors with ongoing classes, lecture, seminars, and events. Overstreet has served on the LEARN committee for four years. Founded in 1954 as the Western Gerontological Society, the American Society on Aging is an association of diverse individuals bound by a common goal: to support the commitment and enhance the knowledge and skills of those who seek to improve the quality of life of older adults and their families. Members of LEARN are involved in all aspects of education for older adults. They represent the growing variety of settings and programs offering opportunities for lifetime learners.
