Education Foundation Welcomes New Board Members

The Education Foundation of Sarasota County has announced the addition of Asim Chauhan, Britt Riner, Dr. Alok Sharma and Juan Villaveces to the board of directors. Each was elected to serve a three-year term. They join the current board members of Tom Koski, Stuart Henderson, Ariane Dart, Tricia Fulton, Jason Swift, Cathi Bell, John McIntyre, Alix Morin and Kimberly Page Walker. Chauhan is a partner in InfoSun, a firm specializing in cloud computing, decision modeling, neural networks and expert systems and has served in consulting roles for numerous Fortune 500 companies. Chauhan also serves on the Board of Advanced QA, member of the Board at Kol Technology, Peacock Investments and is chairman of Sitar Venture partners. Currently the executive director of national non-profit firm Teneo, Riner has extensive experience in advising non-profit and for-profit entities in the areas of strategic planning, marketing and organization design needs. Sharma is the chief executive officer of MobileNerd, a cloud-based company that delivers virtual computing environments for education, training and distance learning applications. He holds seven patents, and has authored several articles in leading academic and trade publications. Villaveces is a partner with Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick and is board-certified in real estate law. Villaveces also serves on the board of directors for the Suncoast Communities Blood Bank.
