Business

Circus Arts Conservatory co-founder and performer Dolly Jacobs has been awarded the 2017 National Travel and Tourism Week Voice of Sarasota Award from Visit Sarasota County. Through her career as a performer to the work she does with the Conservatory to promote the circus arts, pass along those traditions and bring newcomers into the fold from around the country and the world, Visit Sarasota County has recognized the impact Jacobs has made on Sarasota county, not only with regards to its cultural reputation but also tangible tourist-related benefits. A star aerialist performer and veteran of multiple circuses, including the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, Jacobs got her own start as a Sarasota native at the Sailor Circus Academy.
