Towering Dessert

Hunting & Gathering

Nestled amongst boutiques and small restaurants on Osprey Avenue, Morton’s Gourmet Market stands out as a terracotta haven for fresh foods and gourmet creations. Guided by the power of the sweet tooth one can’t help but be drawn to customer favorites such as carrot cake, coconut cake, lemon bars and chocolate éclairs. However, the Key Lime Mousse Tower steals the show with layers of mousse filling and a bright green garnished top. When constructing the tower, white cake serves as a foundation. This first layer then pairs with a refreshing mousse crafted with cream cheese, heavy cream and Key Lime juice. Vertically expanding, two more layers of cake and mousse are added until the Key Lime Mousse Tower stands tall with three layers of each. Finally, a Key Lime gel coats the top and white chocolate curls adorn the finished product, bringing a pop of color and whimsy to the delicious creation.
