Through an ongoing partnership with Goodwill Manasota, representatives from Wells Fargo are donating their time and expertise each month to teach free workshops in area Goodwill community rooms. This month, in honor of back to school, Wells Fargo representatives will present a workshop titled “Preparing for College” on four different dates at locations throughout the community. “Preparing for College” is designed to help those looking to go to college for the first time and those who wish to pursue continuing education. Attendees will learn about the resources available to help fund educational goals as well as how to understand the often confusing and complicated FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) process. Facilitators will also explain how to gain exclusive access to more than seven million scholarships and grants. Dates and locations for the workshop are as follows: Aug. 22, 4pm at the Venice Community Room (676 S. Tamiami Trail, Venice); Aug. 23, 4pm in the North Sarasota Community Room; Aug. 24, 10am in the Honore Community Room; and Aug. 25, 2pm in the Lakewood Ranch Community Room.
