Pines of Sarasota, a rehabilitation and senior care community, has appointed a new medical director in Dr. Adrian Torres. Torres joined the organization in May 2017. Torres completed his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Puerto Rico, and his Residency at Nassau County Medical Center in New York. He is triple board-certified in geriatric medicine, internal medicine and hospice and palliative medicine. He is also a certified medical director through the Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine. Until recently, Torres served as the medical director at Moorings Park Community in Naples, FL. He is also medical director for First Physicians Group Post-Acute Services of Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
