Savory-Sweet Donuts Hit The Spot

Hunting & Gathering

While people boarded up homes and fled the city to escape the wrath of Hurricane Irma, the folks over at Louie’s & Kat’z Sweet Spot prepared for the grand opening. Weathering the storm and coming out smelling like fresh donuts, of the plethora of pastries served at the sweet treats shop, the maple bacon donut already stands out as a crowd-pleaser. Thick slabs of bacon top a rich maple glaze that envelopes fluffy fried dough, uniting the two for perfect texture and taste. And the decadent delights are made on the spot so the glaze stays warm and the bacon stays crisp. The contrast of the sugary and savory toppings provides a welcoming complementary taste for meat-lovers and sweet-tooths alike.
