Sarasota County Tax Collector Barbara Ford-Coates has issued a reminder to all business owners that the 2017-18 Sarasota County Business Tax is due by September 30. Since the 30th falls on the weekend, payments will be accepted in person only on Monday, October 2. Any business tax which remains unpaid after Monday will be delinquent and additional money will be due. The quickest and easiest way to pay is at www.SarasotaTaxCollector.com. After the online payment is complete, a business tax receipt can be printed immediately. Payments can also be made by mail or in person at any Service Center. In North Port, payments can be made at North Port City Hall on Wednesday, September 27 from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Any business that has not received a renewal notice or a new business that has not registered should contact the Tax Collector immediately at 941.861.8300, option 3 or Info@SarasotaTaxCollector.com. Businesses in the cities of Sarasota, Venice, North Port, and in the Town of Longboat Key may also be required to pay an additional city business tax.
