CenterState Bank Names Merriman Regional President

CenterState Bank has announced that Shaun P. Merriman has been named regional president for the bank’s West Region of Florida, effective January 1, 2018. In this capacity, Merriman will take on leadership of the bank for the region including Hillsborough, Pinellas, Sarasota and Manatee counties. Merriman will work closely with three other community presidents while continuing to maintain his current role as community president of the Sarasota and Manatee counties. His office will remain located in Sarasota. According to CenterState CEO John Corbett, the hire comes as part of a series of changes in bank leadership across Florida, in a strategic reorganization to prepare for successful growth with the upcoming integration of Harbor Community Bank and Sunshine Bank as CenterState crosses over $10 billion in bank assets.
