Eight grants totaling $854,869 were awarded by Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation to Sarasota Memorial Health Care System and five local community organizations recently during its Fall 2017 grants cycle. The grants included: $427,829 to the SMH Rehabilitation Department, $250,000 to Community Health Centers of Sarasota County (CHCSC), $236,065 to First Step of Sarasota, $76,000 to SMH Clinical Research Center, $73,000 to SMH Clinical Research Center, $40,000 to Vincent Academy, $9,690 to Healthy Start Coalition of Sarasota and $7,500 to Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation.
