The Pines of Sarasota Foundation Board of Trustees has welcomed attorney Charla M. Burchett as a member of the board. Burchett is a partner in the Sarasota office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where she is a member of the Trusts & Estates Practice Group. Her practice focuses on estate planning, estate and gift taxation, estate administration, and trust administration. Burchett’s past professional and civic activities include chairing the estate planning and solo divisions of the Sarasota County Bar Association, serving as president of the Southwest Florida Guardianship Council, as well as president of the Gulf Coast Chapter of the Florida State Guardianship Association, and chair of the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County.
