Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation has welcomed Craig Moran as director of development. Moran brings more than 20 years of experience in fundraising and management of nonprofit organization. Prior to accepting this position, he served as director of development and major gifts at Tampa General Hospital Foundation. He also held various development roles with Jupiter Medical Center Foundation and Bon Secours Richmond Healthcare Foundation. Moran has planned, organized and directed several multi-million-dollar capital campaigns for healthcare, education and cultural organizations. For the Healthcare Foundation, he is responsible for engaging the community to support the philanthropic mission of the Healthcare Foundation. Moran earned a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Area Studies from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL. He served for 22 years in the US Army/National Guard as an Infantry Officer, holding various staff and command positions both nationally and internationally. After a successful tour in Afghanistan, he retired in 2005 from the Florida Army National Guard.
