County Encourages CodeRED Subscription

Government

Sarasota County is encouraging property owners, both year-round and seasonal, to sign up for the CodeRED alert notification system. CodeRED allows residents to receive calls, email alerts or text messages about events that could impact their neighborhood and help protect their family or property. Alerts include water or sewer interruptions, missing person alerts, major traffic detours and severe weather warnings. The CodeRED Weather Warning, which is an opt-in only service, will automatically notify those registered of tornado, flash flood and severe thunderstorm warnings just minutes after an alert is issued by the National Weather Service. Individuals and business owners with a physical address in Sarasota County can sign up for CodeRED. To register, visit the website below.
