Sarasota-based behavioral and mental health specialists, Comprehensive MedPsych Systems (CMPS), has announced its acquisition by Refresh Mental Health, a Jacksonville Beach, FL company comprised of mental health companies throughout the United States. CMPS was established in 1998 by Dr. Geoffrey Kanter, a double board-certified adult and pediatric neuropsychologist and Executive Director of the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology. The group now is joined with a rapidly growing company comprised of mental health, addiction and eating disorder companies in over 10 states with more than 500 clinicians including psychiatrists as well as psychologists, neuropsychologists and Master’s level providers. Locally, CMPS has offices in Sarasota, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, Venice and Port Charlotte. The CMPS name and brand will continue and Dr. Kanter will remain President of CMPS and will be responsible for its operations and future growth in Florida and the surrounding regions.
