Selby Gardens Names Deming Chief Operating Officer

Marie Selby Botanical Gardens has appointed a new Chief Operating Officer in Wendy Deming, who will assume the leadership role beginning July 9. In this new position Deming will guide Selby Gardens’ strategic operations during a time of significant growth, overseeing human resources, finance, governance and also oversee daily operations. Deming brings nearly 20 years of nonprofit management to the organization. She served as chief operating officer and chief of staff at Gulf Coast Community Foundation, as well as corporate secretary and board liaison. Deming holds a master’s degree in business administration from George Mason University and a bachelor's degree in accounting from Furman University.
