Sarasota County Accepting Applicants for Civics 101 Class

Sarasota County has announced its summer class Civics 101. This citizen's academy is an opportunity for residents to get a closer look at their local government with presentations, tours and hands-on activities. Sarasota County is now accepting applications for the course. The summer session runs from 6pm to 8:30pm, Thursday evenings, from June 21 through August 9. There is no charge to attend the class, but seating is limited. The session will feature county departments such as emergency services, parks, libraries, extension services and more. Applications are available on the website below.
