Sarasota Design Conference Coming to Hyatt Regency

The American Institute of Architects Florida Gulf Coast Chapter will host the Sarasota Design Conference from June 8-10, 2018 at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota. This biennial conference has a 30-year history of featuring speakers on the cutting edge of the profession from the US and abroad. This year’s theme, Designing for Change, focuses on how architects are responding to changes in climate, agriculture, society, transportation and technology. During the course of the three days, there will be six speaker presentations, a panel discussion, architecture tours and a workshop titled Salty Urbanism, where participants will increase their knowledge on flooding and building resilient environments. Presentations of the results of the Workshop will be held at 12:45 on Sunday, June 10, 2018 and is free to attend.
