Manatee County Students Improve FSA Scores

School District of Manatee County students improved their scores in a wide variety of academic areas, according to Florida Standards Assessments (FSA) results released by the Florida Department of Education. The percentage of Manatee District students scoring Level 3 or higher went up in four of eight grades tested in English Language Arts and in four of six grades tested in Mathematics. The percentage of Manatee District students scoring Level 3 or higher also went up in Fifth-Grade science; Eighth-Grade Science; Algebra 1; Biology and U.S. History. In English Language Arts, students in grades 5, 8 and 10 all raised their Level 3 or higher percentage by four points. In Mathematics, grades 3 and 5 each went up by five points. In Biology, Manatee District students improved by seven percentage points.
