Students Head to Singapore for F1 in Schools World Finals

After hundreds of hours of preparation, five Manatee County high school students will depart for Singapore on September 5 to represent the United States at the 2018 F1 in Schools World Finals. The team. Perspective, qualified to represent the United States at the USA National F1 In Schools Finals in Austin, Texas last summer. Perspective will face off with 51 teams of talented students from 23 different countries around the world all vying to become the next F1 in Schools World Champions. The global education competition is supported by Formula One and takes place alongside the Formula 1 2018 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix. The cross-county team consists of students from Palmetto, Southeast and Braden River High Schools. Team members are Jaxson Bunes-Design Engineer, Cassandra Atzrodt – Resource Manager, Alex Kumar – Manufacturing Engineer, Alana Kelly – Team Manager and Ahmad Ibsais – Graphic Designer. The team’s Advisor is Brian Kendzior, Technical Education teacher at Palmetto High School.
