Rotary Club of Sarasota Launches Rotary Reading Project

The Rotary Club of Sarasota will be presenting every first grader with the book The Magic Fish and every fourth grader with the book Wonder to launch the Rotary Reading Project for the 2018–2019 school year. The Rotary Reading Project has been sponsored by the Rotary Club of Sarasota Foundation with The Mote Scientific Foundation, and through support of area Rotary Clubs. A book giveaway today at Tuttle Elementary School symbolizes the kickoff of this district-wide partnership. In addition to a personal copy of one of the books, students at all Sarasota County Schools can look forward to engaging in this common reading experience, and teachers will be provided toolkits full of lesson plans and discussion questions to support the learning experience.
