Sarasota Memorial Hospital is currently looking to hire new employees as part of the First 1,000 Days Patient Navigator Pilot Program. First 1,000 Days Sarasota County is a community initiative dedicated to increasing access to care for prenatal and postpartum mothers and babies during their early childhood development. The Patient Navigator Pilot Program is one of several recommendations made by the First 1,000 Days partners to build a more navigable system of care and better connect families in need to available community resources. Sarasota Memorial Hospital is seeking professionals with backgrounds in nursing and/or social work to build and run the Patient Navigator Pilot Program. The pilot is an employment opportunity for professionals inspired to improve the lives of low-income mothers and babies and create a brand new program. The positions are paid for through philanthropic support for the initiative and the hired professionals will work hand-in-hand with the First 1,000 Days partners. The two employment positions, a Program Coordinator and Patient Navigator, are posted on Sarasota Memorial Hospital’s website. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply immediately.
