Venice Theater Announces Open Houses, New Improv Troupe

To showcase upcoming opportunities in the 2019 winter/spring class season, Venice Theatre will hold Education Open Houses for children and teens on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 10:30am to noon, and for adults Friday, January 18, 2019 from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. For the adult open house, attendees must RSVP to 941-486-8679. Both events will be held at the theater. The Education and Outreach Department and teaching team will be on hand to explain the different class offerings, share information about scholarships, and assist families with registration. The new semester begins the week of January 7, 2019 for most children's and teen's classes which run six to 15 weeks. Most adult classes begin the week of January 21, 2019. Early registration is already open online. There are early bird discounts of 20% for children and teens who register by December 24. Adults must register by January 7 to receive the early bird rate.

Venice Theatre is also starting a teen improv troupe. Auditions are on January 7 at 5pm. The Troupe will rehearse Mondays weekly from 5pm to 6:30pm. No experience is required. Improv Troupe rehearsals will culminate in a ticketed performance on the Pinkerton stage in March.
