The School District of Manatee County has announced that Dustin Dahlquist has been named the new principal of Lakewood Ranch High School. A final decision was made following interviews, staff input and a community forum that was held last week. Principal Dahlquist has been principal at Buffalo Creek Middle School since 2016. He has served Manatee County for more than 21 years as a teacher and administrator. Dahlquist’s new role will take effect early next year. A job posting for his replacement at Buffalo Creek Middle will be forthcoming. The process will include public input, including the opportunity for the public, faculty and staff to meet and speak with the finalists for the position.
