Sarasota Contemporary Dance Opens Its Doors for Day of Dance

Arts & Culture

Sarasota Contemporary Dance is welcoming the entire community and its neighbors into the troupe’s home studio for the biannual “Day of Dance,” offering a variety of mini-classes for adults and children. Located at the corner of Boulevard of the Arts and Central Avenue, the studio is on the third floor and is elevator-accessible. Signs and greeters will direct visitors, and parking is available in the area. This multi-cultural event offers a taste of SCD classes, an opportunity to meet SCD teaching artists, and Studio Coordinator, Melissa Rummel. The Day of Dance begins at 10am with breakfast and a Meet & Greet, followed by quick 15-20 minute classes covering everything from Kids Contemporary Dance to Adult Jazz. At the end of the day, attendees receive 10% off any class or class package or tuition option.
