Government

The Florida State Association of Supervisors of Elections (FSASE) will award three $1,200 scholarships in 2019. Applications should be submitted in the county in which the student is registered to vote. Scholarship applications must be received by 5 pm, Friday, March 29,  in the Manatee County Supervisor of Elections office. Letters of recommendation must accompany application or be received by the deadline. The Supervisor of Elections Office will review all applications, interview students and select only one student to proceed forward. That student's application will then be forwarded on to the Scholarship Chair. Upon their final conclusion the Scholarship Committee will announce the scholarship recipients in Summer of 2019. Applicants must be registered voters who have lived in Florida at least two years and must have maintained a “C” average or above during the past year.  Other requirements such as letters of recommendation and financial information are listed on the website below.
