The Economic Development Corporation of Sarasota County is presenting the first in its 2019 Meet the Leaders Luncheon Series, featuring Senator Joe Gruters and Dr. Susan MacManus. The theme of this Meet the Leaders Luncheon is "Legislative Review & Forecast." It will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 11:30am to 1pm at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota.

Senator Gruters represents Sarasota County in the Florida Legislature and is Chairman of the Commerce and Tourism Committee. McManus is one of the most respected political analysts in Florida and a former professor at the University of South Florida. This is expected to be a robust presentation and discussion on topics such as regional and statewide election trends, implications for economic development and how voters view economic development.
