Manatee County to Host Opportunity Zone Forum

Manatee County Redevelopment & Economic Opportunity Department's Economic Development Division will host a free Opportunity Zone Forum on Monday, Feb. 25, from 9am to 10:30am at the Bradenton Area Convention Center in Palmetto. Qualified Opportunity Zones are designed to spur economic development and job creation in distressed communities in Manatee County by offering eligible new investments preferential tax treatment for capital gains taxes. Attend the information session to learn how the community can benefit from this new tax law, how to invest and where investments can be made. Get the facts about Qualified Opportunity Zones and Qualified Opportunity Funds and connect with other organizations and resources within Manatee County’s six Qualified Opportunity Zones.
