SRQ DAILY FRESHLY SQUEEZED CONTENT EVERY MORNING THURSDAY OCT 17, 2019

The City of Sarasota Purchasing Division will host a ‘reverse trade show’ where local businesses will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with government procurement professionals from multiple agencies and learn about the possibilities of doing business with those agencies.  Hosted in conjunction with the Sarasota Bay Area Chapter of the National Institute of Government Purchasing, representatives from many local agencies will offer insight into government purchasing including the City of Sarasota, City of North Port, Manatee County, Sarasota County, Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport, Sarasota Schools, and Town of Longboat Key. Four in-depth presentations also will be given to help demystify procurement and provide insight and guidance into the bid process. Vendors interested in attending can register in advance at www.SarasotaBayNIGP.org. Last year, over 90 vendors from local businesses attended the reverse trade show which the City also hosted.

The free event will be held Wednesday, October 23 from 8 am - 1 pm, at the Sarasota Municipal Auditorium, 801 North Tamiami Trl. For more information contact David Boswell, Purchasing General Manager:  941-363-6448.
