City to Consider Documenting its Public Art

Government

Monday's City Commission meeting will include an opportunity to fund the Public Art Committee's proposal to document Sarasota's public art collection. If authorized by the City Commission, this project would empower GS Resources LLC to research and identify pertinent information about each artwork in the Public Art Collection, including both city-owned and developer-owned; provide a historical timeline; include professional photography of each of the artworks; provide informative videos of up to 12 artworks and interviews with the artists and city officials; and provide a flat bound book of the artwork.
