Empowering Families and Individuals to Succeed

BrandStory

While we each aspire to lead a successful life in our own way, the path to reaching our greatest potential is often found through education. Education breeds skills and, more importantly, confidence.  For 40 years, the Community Foundation of Sarasota County has empowered families and individuals with these necessary resources to realize their full potential.

As an example of the power of education to enhance lives, the Harvey Milk Festival recently launched its #WeSupport Campaign, which focuses on educating local businesses to better understand the issues facing the LGBTQ+ community and create a welcoming and inclusive workplace environment open to everyone. The campaign was funded in part by a $9,500 community impact grant from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County.

Upholding one’s self-worth and supporting their success are fundamental to the Community Foundation’s support of programs and initiatives surrounding Empowerment and Success: education, academic enrichment, career development and advancement, scholarships and mentoring, and lifelong connections.
