Icard Merrill Shareholder Tom Icard has earned board recertification in construction law from The Florida Bar. He is also board certified in civil trial law, one of ten attorneys in Florida who is dual-certified in both practice areas. Icard focuses his nationally recognized practice on construction related matters, from review of contract documents to claims negotiation and complex, multi-party litigation. His practice also includes regular engagement as a mediator, arbitrator, or special master in a broad range of civil disputes. Icard was recognized by Best Lawyers in America as Sarasota metro area “Construction Lawyer of the Year” in 2016 and 2018, and Tampa metro area “Mediation Lawyer of the Year” in 2012.
