The ultimate comfort food holiday is back and it’s time to celebrate National Fried Chicken & Waffle Day on Saturday, August 8 – a day created by Metro Diner! Honoring its third year and recognized as an official holiday by Chase’s Calendar, the famous Fried Chicken & Waffle dish from Metro Diner comes complete with a fluffy Belgian Waffle topped with sweet strawberry butter and half a fried chicken and served with the diner’s signature sweet and spicy sauce. 

Throughout 2019, Metro Diner sold more than 485,000 orders of Fried Chicken & Waffles, that’s nearly 2 million pieces of fried chicken. Looking to help break this year’s record and to celebrate the national food holiday’s third anniversary, Metro Diner is hosting a three-day social contest from August 8th-10th where diner fans have the chance to win the dish for free along with a variety of prizes. The grand prize awards one lucky winner free Fried Chicken & Waffles for one entire year. Ten second place winners will receive a one-time free order of Fried Chicken & Waffles for two to share with a friend, and twenty third place winners will receive a one-time free single order of the dish. 

Starting, Saturday, August 8th at 8:00am through Monday, August 10th at 12:00pm, when followers enter to win from the comfort of their own homes by liking Metro Diner’s National Fried Chicken & Waffle Day post on their Instagram and/or Facebook page and tag a friend, they will be entered to win one of the above three prizes. For five additional entries, followers can share their own post of the Fried Chicken & Waffle dish following the rules on their contest post.
