As a new a non-profit, you may not know that Resilient Retreat was founded in response to an unmet need - a gap in services nationwide. They offer free and confidential services for community members impacted by trauma, specifically survivors of abuse and professionals that witness trauma in the workplace (e.g., police officers, fire fighters, teachers, and many non-profit workers). Our research-based wraparound services, including support groups, neurofeedback, animal therapy, yoga, massage, art/music therapy, and much more, address the impact of trauma on the mind, body, and spirit. They also offer a kind line answered by trauma-informed staff, day programs, and a wide variety of community trainings on trauma. This event kicks off the groundbreaking of our future home on our 84 acres of conservation land which is projected to be completed in 2022. Gates open at 4:30pm and will feature food trucks, costume contests, pumpkin decroating contest and self-guided tours of the new Resilient Retreat property.
