Local Public Relations Association Presents Virtual “State of the Media” Event

Business

The Central West Coast Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (CWC-FPRA) is hosting “State of the Media,” during the week of October 19-23. Each day will feature a different media representative discussing the various challenges and opportunities facing the media industry during a mid-day virtual conversation. “This year, we’ve had no choice but to transform our approach to professional development, as our friends in the media have had to adjust their approach to journalism,” says Eleni Kouvatsos, president of CWC-FPRA. “This five-day virtual series will offer our members and community a chance to hear from talented media members about the challenges facing the industry today, including the effects of a global pandemic, a suffering economy and an incredibly divisive political environment.” Tickets for the program are $25/FPRA members, $35/guests; cost includes all five days and access to the recordings after the event.
