WSLR Receives Covid Grant from Selby Foundation

In addition to prioritizing meeting the emergency needs of individuals through the Season of Sharing and expanding organizational capacity to meet emergency food needs during the pandemic, the William G. and Marie Selby Foundation also accepted grant requests for IT and capital improvement projects related to Covid-19.   WSLR applied for, and was granted, $2518 to upgrade the two Mini-Mac systems that are used to keep the radio station broadcasting 24/7. In response to the Covid-19 public health crisis, WSLR has expanded news and public affairs programming to get Sarasota residents the information they need.
