Composer, jazz trumpeter, santur player, and vocalist Amir ElSaffar will preview the premiere of a new piece scheduled to debut in New York. ElSaffar’s piece, commissioned by the Jazz Coalition, uses the currents of electronics as they’ve never been used before. The Sarasota audience will be the first to hear this brand-new work. At Selby Gardens' Downtown Sarasota Campus October 23rd at 6pm.
